The Bosque Central Appraisal District is committed to open and transparent governance in order to be held accountable to Bosque County taxpayers.

The information below is intended to assist taxpayers in learning more about the District’s structure and decision-making framework.

Board of Directors

The Bosque Central Appraisal District (BCAD) is governed by a Board of Directors that is responsible for hiring the Chief Appraiser, approving the BCAD budget, approving contracts, and setting general policies. The Board does not appraise property or review property values.

The Board is comprised of 6 individuals: 5 elected by Bosque County taxing entities and the Bosque County Assessor Collector. Members elected by the taxing entities are nominated and voted on in the fall and winter of every other year. Each taxing entity may adopt their own process for nominating and voting on members. The Board of Directors meets at least once each calendar quarter. All meetings are held in the board room of the Bosque Central Appraisal District (9293 Hwy 6), unless the Board designates a different location. A copy of the Board’s General Policies & Procedures for Public Access is available online. Meetings recordings available on our website within three business day of the conclusion of the meeting. All meetings are available to the public online for a minimum of 365 days after being posted.

Board Meetings

The Board of Directors meets at least once each calendar quarter.  All meetings are held in the board room of the Bosque Central Appraisal District (9293 Hwy 6), unless the Board designates a different location.

All Board of Director meetings are available to the public for a minimum of 365 days after posting. The agenda is posted at least 72 hours prior to the meeting. Meetings are livestreamed on Zoom and the recording is posted no later than 72 hours or three complete business days after meeting has concluded. Video, Audio and Transcription files from these meetings can be accessed below. All meetings are held in the board room of the Bosque Central Appraisal District (9293 Hwy 6), unless the Board designates a different location. To request copies of video, or any documents not listed on our website, file a public information request.
