On March 31, 2026, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts awarded BCAD three Transparency Stars:
- Debt Obligations
- Open Government & Compliance
- Public Pensions
BCAD is one of only five appraisal districts in Texas — out of 253 statewide — to hold Transparency Stars. We are also the only entity in Bosque County to have earned this recognition. No county office, school district, city, hospital district, or water district in Bosque County holds a Transparency Star.
